Professionals working in the med tech sector are being urged to complete an online survey to map out local research, innovation and infrastructure strengths across the UK.
The survey will contribute to a Science and Innovation Audit (SIA) on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industry Strategy, to understand the Leeds City Region’s strengths and opportunities in Medical Technologies.
Designed to map out local research, innovation and infrastructure strengths across the UK, the audits will help identify and build on the potential of every region across the country, making sure investment is properly targeted and uncovering opportunities for businesses to tap into.
The outcomes of the SIA will feed into the Autumn Statement, shape the Industry Strategy Challenge Fund and underpin our response to the Building Our Industrial Strategy Green Paper.
All views count, no matter where the participants of the survey are based. The audit is seeking to understand:
- What works in medical technologies innovation?
- Where are the challenges and opportunities?
- What more can be done to support UK businesses to thrive and grow?
The survey will take approximately five minutes to complete and responses will remain anonymous. The survey will close on Friday 14 April.
If you have any queries about the survey, email med-tech@leeds.ac.uk
Initial outcomes of the audit will be debated in Translate’s free to attend, one-day event bringing together key Med Tech experts from the Leeds City Region and beyond, on 25 April in Leeds: http://www.translate-medtech.ac.uk/events/translate-in-action/
The audit is being led by the Translate consortium, a partnership of universities in the Leeds City Region with world-class expertise in the development of new medical technologies.
