NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative
In January 2018, the NIHR Colorectal Therapies Healthcare Technologies Co-operative will become the NIHR Surgical MedTech Co-operative. The new Surgical MedTech Co-operative will build a new technology network, adding vascular and hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery to its colorectal theme.
These areas of surgery all face substantial challenges, with many people suffering from diseases that will benefit from technological innovation.
The Surgical MedTech Co-operative will undertake a variety of activities to identify new areas in need of innovation, support research to address clinical problems, and provide a resource for evaluating new surgical technologies within the wider context of the NH
Launch Meeting
The event will consist of talks from our clinical leads, and our supporting academic work streams which are pathology, clinical trials, health economics, physics & engineering and business & commercialisation.
