Translate: Me – New secondment opportunities at Medipex and Devices for Dignity Health Technology Cooperative (D4D)

Are you a post-doctoral researcher or early career academic based at one of the Translate partner universities* and looking for a new opportunity to broaden your knowledge, skills and networks in medical technology innovation?

Two secondment opportunities are available through Translate: Me. Both opportunities are available at two days (or 15 hours) per week for 3 months with up to £2,500 available to cover travel and subsistence costs.

Secondment Opportunity at Medipex

Medipex is a healthcare innovation hub working with the NHS, industry and academia to improve patient care. They are looking for someone interested in learning about accelerating knowledge transfer by bringing together necessary key partners, providing expert advice and support in order to take new healthcare products to market.

The successful candidate will support evaluating ideas for commercial potential and research/present relevant information about the opportunity to attract funding, partners and/or investors and will be expected to work from the Medipex office at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

Secondment Opportunity with Devices for Dignity HTC

Devices for Dignity Health Technology Cooperative (D4D) is a national initiative funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), to act as a catalyst within the NHS for the development of new medical devices, healthcare technologies and technology-dependent interventions. D4D are looking for someone interested in learning about the process around the development of new medical technologies, by providing expert advice and support in order to take new healthcare products to market.

The successful candidate will support the evaluation of ideas for commercial potential and will research/present relevant information to attract funding, partners and/or investors. There will also be the opportunity to work alongside D4D Innovation Managers to further develop the in-house Innovation Manager system. The secondee will be expected to work from the D4D office at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.
